Weekly Photo Challenge: Repurpose

Did somebody say, “Repurpose?”

During the first back-to-school week, I’d scavenge the hallway for extra large pieces of cardboard and packing materials and stuff them into closets and behind cabinets. To me, someone else’s trash was definitely my treasure. My students made so many great creations from those things. Once when my husband and I were driving past an old wicker bassinet that someone left at their curb, he turned to me and said, “I suppose you have to have that?”

(Above: found river rocks painted by yours truly!)

Daily Gratitude: celebrating my bestie’s birthday with lunch and a movie; staying away from FB for the day—maybe forever; house finch at the feeder!

Quote of the Day: I don’t think outside the box; I think of what I can do with the box. ~Unk

  2. I can relate – I’m a big fan of repurposing, too.
Yeah, FB is pretty toxic these days and this is only day 7 -oy!
I had a purple finch yesterday amid the dozens of goldfinches. 🙂

  5. Beautiful paintings! And, I love the quote. I’ll sign up for both parts of it. And, to try and stay away from Facebook as well. Talking about a distraction from creative endeavors and useful accomplishments! 🙂
