The Unfurling of an Amaryllis

Blushing but poised petals  . . .

 gentle, verdant . . .

enchanting attraction.

A gracefully growing . . .

wide-eyed wonder . . .

veined voluptuousness . . .

self-assured blossom . . .

chartreuse offering . . .

with sanguine-spattered lips . . .

energy storing bulb giving life . . .

to a statuesque beauty.

  1. Beautiful. I had a white amaryllis. I finally had to cut the leaning blooms off, but still have three in a vase in my kitchen. Not bad for a Christmas Day boom.
