Birds On a Perch

I tested five different kayaks today on a lake in 22-mph winds. The salesman said, “This is a good thing.”  But trying to get an edge to turn in the blowing wind was not “a good thing.” He’s right though. If I were ever to get a blowing wind in the back bays, I would want to know that my boat could handle it. One kayak tracked so well, and I enjoyed its speed and glide that I could’ve paddled across the lake, forgetting my friend K- and the salesman both!

  1. Those birds look so happy chatting with each other… at least that is what I imagine.
As per your kayak, sounds like you found one that spoke to you… Keep us posted. 🙂

  2. I love watching birds. They’re amazing animals. About kayaking in 22mph winds, that sounds like a whole lot of fun, I prefer canoeing. (I’m tapping into my inner voyageur.)
