Not Very Nice, Irene! Batsto Village (c.1766) Sustains Storm Damage

Batsto Village

Dating back to 1766, historic Batsto Village is what I consider: Photo-ready. Since I was first out of high school, I have taken photos there. But it seems that Hurricane Irene damaged many of the buildings, and the Dept. of Parks and Recreation is uncertain when it will be open. While this saddens me, I am hopeful that the trails are still open to visitors. It’s one of my favorite places to forest bathe, but I shall miss the whispers of ghosts who occupy the buildings.

  1. Well, this is a little awkward. Looks like both our clubs might be forced into playing a one game death match in order to move on. And by the way, I knew that ball was gone as soon as Francisco hit it yesterday.
