Sunrise Over Cave Run Lake
Sunrise over Cave Run Lake
Sunrises over the bay back home are quite nice, but the sunrise and heavy mist over the hills of Kentucky is altogether different. On the lake one can barely see the shores of the surrounding banks and hills as the morning fog hangs heavily. But the sound of a whisper travels far.
It’s 9:00 a.m. and the fog still hangs around the midsections of the hills. And it’s quiet. No motors are running. We saw what looked like a small fox swimming across a cove, only his fawn-colored head and pointy ears above water, but it was a small deer—what a lovely moment to witness.
