Just Another Dead Tree? Hardly!

There is so much character in fallen trees. Look at the textures–its bare bones are very statuesque, the strands of hair appear windblown.

Its outstretched, knobby arms are far-reaching–trying to grasp life.

The wrinkled eye sockets watch as we trespass on their graves.

Quotation for My Sibling:

May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.

  1. Our northwest coast nurse trees are more like the nurse log — on their sides giving life at 90 degree angles. Touching the way they give life reminding me we are so connected.
