A Ride in the Country

I took a ride out to the country with my Saturday friend hoping to find the Amish market open. I didn’t, so I consoled myself by purchasing $200 worth of perennials. I actually bought plants that I had not even researched which is what I always do before buying. My husband said the driveway looks like a nursery! So I worked very diligently to give many of them a home after I returned from jury duty–gads, that’s a story for another day.

  1. …step away from the annuals! LOL. Have you ever visited Styer’s Nursery at Rts 202 and 1? Excellent brunches and wonderful idea filled gift shop. Great photos as always!

  2. Oh, you sound like me, twelve years ago, when I took on my gardening project with a vengeance… Wishing you lots of bloom and color. You will be luckier than me… The wildlife came regularly to dine… a story for another time. 🙂

  3. It’s easy to do, spend $200 on perennials. I just love going to the nurseries or garden centers. It’s as tempting as being in a bookstore. (I sure hope the nurseries don’t close shop and move away.)

  4. I love the horse in the 2nd picture; such an interesting splash on color on it, makes me think of the milky way for some reason. Petals, your life is filled with flowers everywhere you go these days. Enjoy it while it lasts.
