We’re No.1, We’re No.1!

Time to cinch our belts, U.S.A. According to the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Sept. 2010), the U.S.A. has the highest percentage of obese people. Must we always strive to be No. 1?

I love how the symbolism of the chain on the clearly growing tree at once shows how in totality, society has been free to grow, albeit in the Rousseauesque chain of our own self-imposed limitations. In this particular case, the self-imposed limitations to choose, say, healthier lifestyle options.
