I Fish Therefore I Lie

My father is a fisherman who, up until the last five years, has been fishing most of his life.  He’s made his own rods, lures, and lead weights. He eats, sleeps, and dreams fish–fishing is his passion.

As a child, I wasn’t much interested in fishing let alone touching a worm! I tried it a few times at Lake Berryessa when I was nine. But it wasn’t until my teens that I became mildly interested in it–until the rod became snagged on the bottom–then I left it up to Dad to fix it, my interest slowly waning during the process.

So here I am, many years later married to an avid sports fisherman–fishing is his life. He eats, sleeps, and dreams fish. Egads, I think I married someone just like dear old Dad!

ps. I’ve been around enough fisherman to know that they DO stretch the truth, as well as the tail!
