Patience is NOT One of My Virtues
It is a tradition here in the Mid-Atlantic for the nurseries and garden centers to sell flowers on Mother’s Day weekend. But I’m too impatient. I start cruising the grounds several weeks before for tomatoes and perennials–trying to get the jump on the season. Once home, I place everything in my very small (but effective) plastic greenhouse where once closed, it simulates the heat of summer. Having worked at a garden center during Mother’s Day, I know that the danger of frost and snow is not final. But in my little, plastic greenhouse–it’s already spring.
