The Sun and the Fog Contested

The Sun and the Fog contested                                                                                               The Government of the Day–                                                                                                 The Sun took down his Yellow Whip                                                                                   And drove the Fog away–                                      ~Emily Dickinson

Looking across the bay, I could hardly see past the bulkhead 40 feet in front of me. The oncoming headlights are from a car coming over the rise of the new bridge, but it wasn’t visible. It’s always eerily quiet in the midst of fog. But what a great opportunity for a photo . . . or two.

By 3:00 the buildings across the inlet are still enshrouded in fog, but the sun was shining on this spot . . . and it felt utterly delicious!

Quote of the Day for YOU: I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness.                           ~Emily Dickinson
