If You’re in Alaska–Take a Hike!
It’s quite difficult to describe the beauty of Alaska–at least it is for me. I guess it’s because I was, quite simply, awestruck when I was there.
The picture shows the topmost path leading to Exit Glacier in Seward, Alaska. If you look to the top far left, you can see a dark spot which is the park ranger sitting on a boulder. The one-mile hike to the glacier is fairly easy, but there are pretty affordable hikes onto the glacier with guides–if you’re adventurous. Next time. . . . There are so many hiking trails in Alaska, I believe it’s quite possible to find a trail without seeing another person.
I know people Love New York or think that Virginia is for Lovers or [They’re] Going to Love it in New Hampshire or [They’re] Gonna Fall in Love with Louisiana Again, and Oregon Loves Dreamers –but in Alaska I say–How do I love thee, let me count the ways.
