Forest Bathing–Baby It’s Cold Outside!
To keep warm in in winter, birds fluff up their feathers to trap air between them, and then they cuddle together.
Today, I was committed to going for a walk. After all, it was only 24 degrees this morning as opposed to the high of 19 degrees yesterday when I saw a person clad in a black body leotard fly by the kitchen window.
Feeling somewhat guilty and since it was only 25 degrees, I donned several layers of clothing (my downy feathers) and coiled a scarf around my neck and part of my face and set off toward the path. Later when I saw the ducks huddled together in the tiny space on the pond that wasn’t frozen, I began to shiver.
Quote of the Day for YOU: I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape – the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show. ~Andrew Wyeth
